Senior Cost Draftsperson (Fully Remote)
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Cost Draftsperson to join a growing and dynamic legal costs team. This is a fully remote opportunity, offering flexibility while working on high-quality, complex cases.
About the Role
As a Senior Cost Draftsperson, you will play a key role in delivering a comprehensive costing service, working closely with fee earners to manage all aspects of costs across a varied caseload.
Key Responsibilities*Drafting detailed Bills of Costs
*Preparing and issuing Applications for Interim Payments
*Drafting Statements of Costs for:*Directions Questionnaires (Fast Track)
*Infant Approval Hearings
*Trial
*Preparing Costs Budgets (Multi-Track) and drafting Points of Reply/Dispute
*Collating documentation for Provisional and Detailed Assessment
*Liaising with and briefing Counsel for Detailed Assessment hearings
*Managing post-assessment processes, including filing bills within required timeframes
*Handling Applications, Court Orders, and related instructions
*Preparing and filing Default, Interim, and Final Costs Certificates
*Supporting settlement discussions alongside senior stakeholders
*Assisting colleagues within the Costs team as needed
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:*Proven experience using Costs Master
*Strong background in drafting bills, including:*High-value / multi-track cases
*Personal injury
*Clinical negligence
*Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
*Strong IT proficiency and ability to adapt to new systems
*Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
*A proactive, self-motivated approach to work
