Build & Own Payroll
A well-established, multi-site organisation is creating a brand-new Payroll & People Coordinator role as part of a wider investment in its infrastructure.

With the onboarding of a new outsourced payroll provider, this position offers a rare chance to help shape payroll processes from day one, becoming the key link between the business, the payroll bureau, and the wider People function.

Why this role?
This is more than payroll administration. You’ll sit at the heart of payroll and HR operations, owning data quality, supporting around 800+ employees, and ensuring payroll runs smoothly, accurately, and compliantly each month. You’ll also gain exposure across the full employee lifecycle, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and visibility.

What you’ll be doing*Acting as the primary liaison between the business and the outsourced payroll bureau
*Coordinating and validating monthly payroll data for both hourly and salaried employees
*Managing payroll queries and supporting employees with pay-related questions
*Producing payroll journals and supporting payroll reporting
*Providing HR administration support, including contracts, role changes, references, and employment letters
*Supporting benefits administration, audits, and compliance
*Maintaining accurate payroll and people data to support decision-making

What we’re looking for*Experience coordinating payroll, ideally within a bureau or outsourced payroll environment
*Strong attention to detail and confidence working with data and Excel
*Understanding of HR processes and the employee lifecycle
*Knowledge of employment legislation and payroll compliance
*Clear communicator, comfortable dealing with stakeholders at all levels
*Payroll qualification (e.g. CIPP) highly desirable, but not essential
