Role: Military Claims Solicitor / Litigator
Location: Castleford, West Yorkshire
Salary: £30,000 - £55,000
Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid
The Opportunity
A well-established and highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Forces Injury & Military Claims Solicitor / Litigator to join its growing Castleford team.
The firm specialises in employer liability, personal injury, and industrial disease claims, and is recognised for delivering high-quality legal services through modern working practices and a supportive, professional culture. This is an excellent opportunity to develop specialist expertise in military-related claims while working within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
The Role
You will manage a diverse caseload of military personal injury and industrial disease claims on behalf of service personnel and veterans.
Typical matters will include:
*Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL)
*Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
*Non-Freezing Cold Injury (NFCI)
*Asbestos-related conditions
Key responsibilities:
*Conducting legal research and case strategy development
*Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and legal correspondence
*Instructing and liaising with medical experts, counsel, and other stakeholders
*Building strong evidential cases to support client claims
*Representing clients in negotiations, settlement discussions, and court proceedings where required
*Maintaining accurate case management records in line with compliance standards
*Keeping up to date with developments in personal injury and military-related law, including the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme and Crown Immunity principles
This role requires strong technical ability, excellent client care skills, and the confidence to manage complex and sensitive claims.
Key Information & Benefits*Competitive salary: £30,000 - £55,000 (dependent on experience)
