Warehouse Supervisor

We are seeking a proactive and organised Warehouse Supervisor to lead our warehouse team. This role is crucial for someone who can not only manage daily operations but also step up in the manager’s absence, ensuring the smooth running of the department. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinker, constantly striving to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the team.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Lead the team by participating in and creating handovers for smooth operations.
*Distribute workload during shifts, review pending tasks, and assign responsibilities to ensure maximum productivity.
*Cover for the Manager during their absence, maintaining continuity and stability.
*Conduct inductions for new team members and temporary staff.
*Engage in training and coaching to enhance team skills and performance.
*Manage general warehouse duties including operating a forklift.
*Handle administration tasks such as booking in stock, signing stock out, and maintaining accurate data in our systems.
*Respond to queries and manage stock effectively, ensuring proper setup and storage within the warehouse.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Must possess a forklift licence.
*At least 3 years of warehouse experience.
*Familiarity with stock control and inventory systems.
*Experience supervising a team is preferred.
*Full UK driving licence is advantageous.
