Job Description:
*Recruiting now on behalf of a Birmingham Care Home*
Permanent Day Healthcare Assistant to join a small care setting based in Erdington, Birmingham.
The home specialises in caring for adults with; Dementia, Learning Disabilities, Autism, Epilepsy, Mental Health conditions, Complex Needs, and individuals requiring PEG feeding.
What You’ll Do:
*Support the residents with their daily needs; Feeding, Personal care, Companionship
*Working in a team with a registered nurse and other healthcare professionals
*Deliver personalised care tailored to individual needs
*Support residents with PEG feeding and other nutritional needs
*Promote dignity, independence, and choice in daily care
*Maintain high standards of health & safety throughout the home
*Perform regular wellbeing and safety checks
*Assist at mealtimes – preparing snacks or providing support with feeding
*Use manual handling equipment safely and confidently
*Keep accurate records (daily logs, care charts, etc.)
*Build meaningful relationships with residents and team members
Your Set Rota (12-Hour Day Shifts): 08:00 - 20:00
*Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
*Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
*Week 3: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
*Week 4: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
**To be considered, you must be able to commit to this rotating schedule**
What You’ll Need:
*Previous experience in a Healthcare Assistant role (Minimum 6 months- UK based)
*Confident in using manual handling equipment
*Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
*A positive, proactive attitude and a team player mindset
*Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
