Our client, a freight forwarder is looking for an Ocean Import Operator to join their office in South West London.
Job entails
*Dealing with quotes/bookings/queries on Cross trades business
*Issuing Quotations following up quotations made for Containers, Break bulk (Commodity trades, Timber FOT rates) & RORO
*Process bookings via telephone and email, from UK customers/Traders and Local Line POL agents. Confirming booking details back to the customer, informing them of special requirements or restrictions, ensuring Credit worthiness.
*Entering Bill of Lading details and adding where needed manifests details into the company’s bespoke system.
*Dealing with COD, Switch Bills, Indemnities for cargo release.
*Telephone sales
*General enquiries relating to quotes/bookings/scheduling.
*Dealing with and resolving queries promptly
*Credit control
Transportation
*Processing and adding all transport data for container deliveries.
*Processing PIN and Badge releases in Destin8
Other functions
*General client liaison
*Liaising with the Port and Port offices
*General departmental clerical work.
*Any other tasks that management may deem necessary to fulfil the Job role.
