Job Description:
Our client is a well-established specialist lender that delivers tailored short-term and development finance solutions across both residential and commercial property sectors.
They are seeking to hire an experienced Bookkeeper to join their growing finance team. This role is integral to supporting the daily accounting functions associated with loan operations.
The role is based in modern offices in North London and comes with a strong benefits package, including private healthcare, pension contributions, and opportunities for professional development.
Key Duties:
*Carry out regular bank reconciliations across several accounts, managing a large volume of transactions efficiently
*Maintain accurate financial records, including posting journals and completing bookkeeping tasks
*Handle payment processing, including preparing and executing daily payment runs
*Monitor incoming payments, allocate receipts, and follow up on outstanding balances
*Produce detailed portfolio reports for funders
*Support the wider finance function with administrative tasks, ensuring records are consistently up to date
Requirements:
*Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a bookkeeping or finance-focused role, ideally within property finance or an accountancy environment
*Practical experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks or Xero
*Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles
*Hands-on experience with both accounts payable and receivable
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
*Relevant qualifications (such as AAT or ACCA Foundation level) are essential
