Welder / Mechanical Technician (TIG) Milton Keynes
£35,000 – £42,000 per year
Driving Licence Essential
We’re looking for an experienced Welder / Mechanical Technician to join our Milton Keynes-based team. This role combines precision TIG welding with hands-on mechanical work, offering a varied and practical position within a busy manufacturing environment.
About the RoleIn this position, you’ll be involved in the full production process—from interpreting engineering drawings through to final inspection and dispatch. You’ll play a key role in ensuring all products meet strict quality and safety standards.
What You’ll Be Doing*Interpreting engineering drawings and welding specifications
*Performing TIG welding on a range of components and assemblies
*Carrying out general workshop duties including cutting, drilling, and pipe fitting
*Checking finished welds for quality, making adjustments or repairs where needed
*Completing pressure testing and final product inspections
*Supporting dispatch operations, ensuring all outgoing goods are correctly prepared and documented
*Making occasional local deliveries and collections using company vehicles
*Keeping equipment in good working condition through regular maintenance and cleaning
*Organising and storing stock items appropriately
*Assisting with mechanical assembly of specialist equipment when required
*Working closely with colleagues to meet deadlines and production targets
What We’re Looking For*Solid experience in TIG welding (qualification or time-served)
*Strong mechanical fitting background
*Ability to understand and work from technical drawings
*Full UK driving licence
£35,000 – £42,000 per year
