NC Associates are partnering with a high-growth private equity-backed organisation based in Manchester City Centre to recruit a Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced and commercially focused finance team within a business undergoing significant investment and expansion.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager / Financial Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate management information, supporting strategic decision-making, and improving financial processes across the organisation.
This role is ideal for a driven Management Accountant looking to gain exposure within a private equity environment, where you will work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to business performance and growth initiatives.
Management Accountant Responsibilities*Preparation of monthly management accounts with supporting commentary
*Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes across the business
*Producing variance analysis and performance reporting for senior stakeholders
*Assisting with month-end close activities including journals, accruals and prepayments
*Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls
*Supporting cash flow forecasting and working capital reporting
*Providing commercial insight to operational teams
*Supporting year-end audit processes and statutory reporting requirements
*Assisting with process improvements and finance system enhancements
*Supporting ad-hoc analysis and reporting requirements for senior leadership and investors
Management Accountant Experience RequiredTo be successful in your application, you must have the following experience:
*Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or equivalent experience
*Previous experience preparing management accounts
*Strong understanding of month-end processes
*Experience working within a fast-paced commercial environment
*Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Lookups advantageous)
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders
*Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
*Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach
Private equity, multi-entity, or high-growth environment experience would be highly advantageous but is not essential.
