Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting a well-established engineering business in their search for a Test Technician to join their specialist testing facility in Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity for a practically minded engineer who enjoys working with precision components and advanced test equipment.
Location: Rotherham
Salary: Dependant on experience
Shift Pattern: Monday–Friday, day shifts
The role:
You’ll be responsible for carrying out performance testing on engineered components, ensuring they meet strict quality and reliability standards. Working within a dedicated test environment, you’ll play a key role in preparing equipment, running tests, and producing accurate technical feedback.
Key responsibilities:
*Build, set up and strip down components ready for testing
*Operate and maintain test rigs and associated equipment
*Record, interpret and present test results clearly
*Carry out inspections on used or returned parts and document findings
*Support routine maintenance and calibration of testing equipment
*Follow strict safety and quality procedures at all times
*Collaborate with engineers and wider teams to support investigations
About you:
*Engineering apprenticeship or similar qualification (HNC/HND advantageous)
*Strong hands-on mechanical skills
*Experience working with rotating equipment, assemblies, or similar systems
*Able to read and understand technical drawings
*Methodical approach with good attention to detail
*Comfortable working both independently and within a team
