Role: Financial Controller
Salary - £68,000 to £75,000 per annum
Location: Wembley


Our client is looking for an astute Financial Controller who will manage all aspects of the finance function, including accounting, reporting, and budgeting/forecasting. You will lead, develop, and motivate the team to deliver an efficient and modern support service to the business.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of all financial reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
• Analyse and present financial and operational data to highlight business performance, trends, and variances.
• Budgeting and Forecasting
• Lead, develop, and motivate the team to create a high-performing working environment.
• Drive process improvement.
• Oversee the annual statutory audit, ensuring all required information is provided to auditors promptly and accurately.
• Continuously review and challenge the finance function’s service performance, identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement to enhance the value and success of the Finance function and the wider business.


The ideal candidate:
The client is looking for a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) who can demonstrate experience within a financial reporting or financial controlling environment, including strong knowledge of UK FRS101 and IFRS accounting standards, including IFRS16 Lease Accounting. You will have experience of people management. Someone who enjoys process improvement would be ideal. Previous experience of using D365 Business Central would be a bonus.
