About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Occupational Therapist (Level 1) to join a well-established citywide service supporting adults and children with complex needs. The service provides equipment, adaptations, and person-centred assessments designed to maximise independence, safety, and quality of life within the community.
You will manage a diverse caseload, including complex moving & handling needs, major adaptations, and equipment provision. This is an excellent opportunity for an OT with strong assessment skills who is passionate about enabling people to live independently at home.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver holistic, strengths-based occupational therapy assessments for individuals with a wide range of needs.
*Recommend equipment, minor adaptations, major adaptations, and innovative solutions to support daily living.
*Complete Moving & Handling assessments, ensuring safe practice for both clients and carers.
*Work collaboratively with health partners, local teams, and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
*Maintain accurate case records in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
*Contribute to service development and support students or junior staff when required.
*Manage risk, plan interventions effectively, and support service users through complex decision-making.
What We’re Looking For
*Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
*HCPC registration.
*Strong background in equipment and adaptations, including complex cases.
*Experience with Moving & Handling assessments.
*Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
*Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
*Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
*Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
