Job Description:
Managing Quantity Surveyor – Housing / Construction
*Location: Warrington
*Salary - Competitive
*Car allowance
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a growing housing business. This is a hands-on, site-based role, leading a team of surveyors while providing effective commercial management and control of multiple projects. The role is varied and deadline-driven, so excellent organisational, prioritisation, and communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
*Oversee the financial and contractual administration of projects, ensuring the survey team delivers high-quality work
*Provide effective commercial management and control of projects in line with contract terms and statutory requirements
*Maximise project margins while minimising risk exposure
*Support the delivery of business objectives and targets
*Lead, motivate, and develop a team of surveyors to ensure performance and quality standards
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
*Proven experience in quantity surveying, ideally within the housebuilding or construction sector
*Strong knowledge of financial reporting, contracts, and statutory requirements
*Excellent analytical skills and practical problem-solving ability
*Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
*Customer-focused with a delivery-oriented mindset
*Proficient in Microsoft Office and other IT tools
*Full driving licence
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You must be self-motivated, Professional and a collaborative team player with strong attention to detail.
