Assistant Accountant
Norwich
Full-time or Part-time
Hybrid working available (3 days in the office 2 from home for a FT working week)
£30,000 - £35,000 FTE

The Role
The Assistant Accountant role is a key position within the team.
Full training and ongoing development are provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to strengthen their technical skills while gaining wider commercial exposure.
Core Responsibilities
*Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger management
*Credit Control
*Cashflow forecasting
*Payment runs
*VAT returns
*Handling HMRC queries and inspections
*Preparation of Management Accounts
*Maintaining lead schedules, including accruals and prepayments
*Maintaining fixed asset registers and calculating depreciation
*Attending Board Meetings (primarily via Teams/Zoom) and responding to finance-related queries
The Ideal Candidate
*Conscientious, reliable and detail-driven
*Comfortable working autonomously as well as within a team
*Organised, adaptable and commercially curious
*Confident communicating with stakeholders
Previous experience across the above areas is advantageous but not essential. What matters most is the ability and motivation to learn, combined with a strong work ethic and a willingness to take responsibility.
