Job Description:
Overview
We are seeking a reliable Yard Person / Forklift Driver to join our client’s team in Wickham. You will play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient logistics. The ideal candidate will have experience in yard/warehouse environments.
Duties
*Picking materials for business orders
*Operate forklift safely and efficiently to load, unload lorries, and move materials within the yard and warehouse
*Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of goods
*Manage materials handling using warehouse management systems to track inventory movements
*General day to labouring work
*Keeping the yard tidy at all times
*Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment tasks if needed
Skills
*Must hold a valid counterbalance forklift licence. (Sideloader experience would be advantageous but not essential)
*Proven experience operating forklifts
*Experience with materials handling, shipping & receiving processes
*Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
*Good organisational skills with an eye for detail in maintaining accurate records
*Physical fitness suitable for working in outdoor environments and performing manual labour tasks

This role would be a temporary to permanent position for the right candidate.
You will your own transport (car) due to the client’s location
