Financial Controller
Coventry | £75,000 - £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits
A leading manufacturing business is seeking a Financial Controller to take ownership of a key division within their business.
This is a high-profile role, partnering closely with senior leadership to drive financial performance, support decision-making, and lead a well-established finance team.
The Role
You’ll act as the finance lead for a complex, fast-paced environment, taking responsibility for financial reporting, forecasting, and business partnering across multiple functions.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading all aspects of month-end close, reporting, and financial analysis
Preparing and presenting P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow insights to senior stakeholders
Owning budgeting and forecasting processes across operational and engineering spend
Partnering with non-finance teams including engineering and commercial functions
Managing and developing a team of finance professionals
Driving continuous improvement across processes, controls, and reporting
Supporting audit processes and ensuring a strong financial control environment
The Candidate
We’re looking for a commercially minded and hands-on finance leader who thrives in a dynamic environment.
You will ideally have:
ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification
Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or a similar operational environment
Strong technical grounding across reporting, forecasting, and controls
Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at senior level
A proactive and resilient approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities
