Job Description:
Import Shipping Clerk (Mon-Fri 9.30am-5.30pm, office based)
Dealing with quotes/bookings/queries on Cross trades business
Issuing Quotations following up quotations made for Containers, Break bulk (Commodity trades, Timber FOT rates) & RORO
Process bookings via telephone and email, from UK customers/Traders and Local Line POL agents. Confirming booking details back to the customer, informing them of special requirements or restrictions, ensuring Credit worthiness.
Entering Bill of Lading details and adding where needed manifests details into the company’s bespoke system.
Dealing with COD, Switch Bills, Indemnities for cargo release.
Telephone sales
General enquiries relating to quotes/bookings/scheduling.
Dealing with and resolving queries promptly
Dealing with quotes/bookings/queries on Cross trades business
