A highly regarded planning consultancy is seeking a Graduate Town Planner to join its growing team in Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to begin their career within a supportive and commercially focused environment, working on a wide range of exciting projects across the region.
The Role
You will be part of an experienced planning team, supporting the delivery of high-quality planning advice across sectors including residential, mixed-use, and strategic land development. The role offers hands-on experience and exposure to all stages of the planning process.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals
*Undertaking site appraisals and planning policy research
*Supporting the production of planning statements and reports
*Engaging with local authorities, clients, and external consultants
*Monitoring planning policy and legislative updates
About You
*Degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline
*Strong interest in working towards MRTPI accreditation
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
*A proactive and professional approach
*Previous planning experience (placement or internship) is beneficial but not essential
