Job Description:
Data Engineer
Hertfordshire (Hybrid, 2 days in the office)
£45,000 - £55,000 + benefits
I’m working with a well-established travel business, who are looking to hire a Data Engineer to support their growing digital and marketing function.
This is a unique opportunity to join a lean, high-impact team where you’ll play a key role in shaping how data is used across the business. You’ll work closely with marketing stakeholders to extract, transform, and automate data from multiple sources, helping drive performance improvements and better decision-making.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across both engineering and analytics, delivering quick wins through automation while building towards a more advanced data and insight capability over time.
The Data Engineer will be responsible for:
* Extracting and transforming data from multiple sources including BigQuery, GA4, CRM and marketing platforms
* Building and improving data pipelines with SQL to support reporting and insight generation
* Automating manual reporting processes(currently Excel-based) to improve efficiency
* Supporting the transition towards visualisation tools such as Power BI, Looker or Tableau
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take ownership in a smaller team, with the chance to grow into a broader analytics and insight-focused role!
