Job Description:
(8703) Job Title: Shotblaster
Hours: 40 hours/week – Rotating shifts (5.45am to 1.45pm and 2.15pm to 10.15pm alternating on a weekly basis) Monday - Friday with a paid break of 30 minutes each day.
Rate of pay: Up to £17.22 per hour / Annual £35,817.60 DOE
Location: Dorking, Surrey

Summary
To be an active part of a busy team. Helping to ensure the safe timely and varied output from the Paint Shop is upheld. To refinish all major assemblies, sub-assemblies and other items as required. Maximize utilisation of spray booths by minimalizing the spray times. Marking out and masking of body, cabs and panels.
Main Duties
*Painting of all components in line with your training and process sheets to meet the production plan.
*Loading and unloading the monorail system in line with the production program. 0 Preparing all components for painting in line with your training and process sheets to meet the production plan, including shot blasting, filling, sealing and cleaning to an acceptable finish ready for painting.
*Take personal responsibility for maintaining the high standards of process and product quality insuring Company Standards are met.
*Support the Company’s Quality Management System, actively participate in PDCA meetings and quality circles.
*Function in a safe manner taking into account personal safety and the safety of others in the workplace
*Operate within the constraints of the Risk Assessments in place for the defined activities.
*Report all incidents to the Paint Shop shift Leader / Supervisor.
*Report all faulty or damaged equipment to the Paint Shop shift Leader.
*Report component and material shortages to the Paint Shop shift Leader. Responsible for maintaining a high level of housekeeping in the paint booths, paint kitchen and general paint / prep area, including emptying of all bins
*Willingly carry out any tasks which are deemed reasonable by the Management Team.
