Description
The Legal Counsel will be:
*Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts
*Supporting procurement teams with contract negotiations and supplier arrangements
*Advising on data protection matters including data processing and cross border transfers
*Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with policies and standards
*Enhancing and streamlining contracting processes and frameworks
*Working closely with risk, compliance and information security teams
*Providing proactive, business focused legal advice to support decision making
*Identifying and mitigating legal and commercial risks
*Supporting the development of colleagues within the procurement function
Profile
The Legal Counsel should be:
*A solicitor or equivalent with 2 years PQE or above
*Experienced in commercial contracts including technology or procurement agreements
*Knowledgeable in contract law, data protection and risk management
*Able to deliver pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice
*Confident managing workload and prioritising effectively in a fast paced environment
*A strong communicator with excellent drafting and negotiation skills
*Collaborative, proactive and able to work autonomously
*Professional and capable of handling sensitive matters
