Role: Test Automation Lead
Client: Financial Services
Location: Manchester
Engagement: Contract 12 months initial
IR35: Umbrella

Overview:
My Client are seeking Test Automation Leads to support a leading and growing technology stream. The focus is on advancing automation maturity through scalable, self-sustaining test frameworks built around TDD principles.
Core Skills:
*Strong hands-on experience with Java for test automation
*Expertise in Selenium and Playwright (UI and API testing)
*BDD development using Cucumber and Gherkin
*Deep understanding of TDD methodology
*Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks
*Demonstrable leadership in guiding and upskilling engineers
*Ability to influence engineering culture and embed best practice
Notes:
My Client place a strong emphasis on upskilling and technical enablement. Leads are expected to raise capability within their teams while driving automation to a point of full sustainability, effectively automating themselves out of each project before moving on to the next.
