Working Hours: 37.5 Hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 9am and 5pm

The difference you will make as a Floating Support Worker
Are you passionate about helping people maintain their homes and improve their wellbeing? Riverside is recruiting a compassionate Floating Support Worker to join our Engage Leeds service in Leeds.
Engage Leeds is a city-wide, Leeds City Council–commissioned service supporting people aged 18+ who are experiencing housing difficulties and additional support needs. We work across all housing tenures, providing a visiting support to individuals in their homes and local communities.
Working with Engage Leeds, you will work collaboratively as part of a committed team to deliver an outstanding service and a range of personalised support that puts customers first, empowering them to achieve their goals and aspirations.
You will also be required to work in the community and visit customers in their own homes. The customers you work with will be facing challenges and may be at risk of becoming homeless.
Engage Leeds is a consortium of organisations, commissioned by Leeds Council to provide personalized support to anyone in Leeds over the age of 18 who is facing challenges and may be at risk of becoming homeless. Our mission is to empower customers to achieve their goals and aspirations through a range of community-based services. This is a city-wide service split into 3 geographical areas. Riverside operates in the South Leeds area and also provides a volunteer service across the whole of Leeds.
We work with people from all tenures including council housing, housing associations, private landlords and people who own their own homes by providing a visiting support service. The type of support provided includes mental health, dementia, substance use and more complex needs that may cover more than one area of need depending on the person’s situation.
In this role, you will:
• Support people at risk of homelessness to sustain their accommodation
• Provide personalised, housing-related support using trauma-informed and psychologically informed approaches
• Manage a caseload and work closely with partners and colleagues to deliver high-quality support
• Help individuals access health services, employment, education, and training
• Support people who may be in temporary accommodation to become tenancy-ready and achieve successful move-on.
• Our work focuses on preventing homelessness, sustaining tenancies, and supporting community integration to reduce isolation and improve quality of life.

About you
We are looking for someone with:
• An understanding of the barriers faced by vulnerable and diverse customer groups and individuals with complex needs.
• An understanding of the current UK Benefit System and working knowledge of Universal Credit
• Team player with a caring, empathetic, flexible and have a resilient, can-do attitude.
