Chief Executive Officer
Location: Office in between Guildford / Woking – Hybrid working
Salary: On application
Hours: Part-Time; 32 per week
Holiday allowance: 25 days + Bank Holidays
About Our Client
Our client is the UK’s leading kidney cancer charity and is dedicated to addressing the challenges associated with the disease. The organisation is committed to reducing the harm caused by kidney cancer through initiatives that enhance public knowledge and awareness. It also provides vital information and resources to support patients and their families. Additionally, they actively support research focused on the causes, prevention, and treatment of kidney cancer, aiming to make a positive impact on patients’ lives.
Role Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO), or a results-driven Senior Manager looking to take their next step in the charity sector, to lead the charity’s strategic vision, provide strong and effective leadership and oversee day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include financial planning, business and strategic planning, team management, and driving fundraising efforts. The CEO will also be expected to collaborate with the board, staff and stakeholders to meet organisational goals and expand the charity’s impact and income.
This is a part-time, 32-hour week, hybrid role. Our client’s office is based between Guildford and Woking in Surrey.

Person Specifics:
*A passionate patient advocate.
*Empathetic disposition.
*Evidence of experience / success in fundraising for similar bodies is crucial.
*Expertise in finance and operations management to drive efficient resource allocation and organisational effectiveness.
*Skilled in business planning, driving growth and securing funding.
*Proficiency in strategic planning to guide the long-term vision and direction of the charity.
*Proven leadership abilities and experience of managing multidisciplinary teams.
*Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
*Experience leading a charity or organisation focused on health or research is preferred.
*A thorough understanding of the nonprofit sector, including funding models and governance.
*Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Non-profit Management, Healthcare, or a related field, with advanced education in leadership being an advantage.
*Commutable distance to Guildford / Woking is also helpful.
