We’re working with a well-established, design-led interiors brand based in Leeds who are on the lookout for a Digital PR Executive to join their team and help support with the day-to-day delivery of our in-house PR.
Working alongside, our existing marketing, content and social media teams, you will assist in the day-to-day delivery of our PR activity including ideation, media list creation, and selling-in of interesting stories
You will have a natural eye for a story, a strong awareness of trends and the media landscape, and the ability to develop creative ideas with compelling hooks that resonate with journalists, publications and their audiences.
Using existing journalist and media relationships, as well as building and nurturing new ones, you will confidently pitch stories to secure relevant coverage, brand visibility and high-quality links across a range of sectors and publications.
You will be comfortable reacting to changing news agendas, spotting timely opportunities and identifying ways to newsjack relevant stories, while also helping to develop campaign ideas that can be repurposed throughout the year.
Alongside reactive activity, you will support always-on Digital PR and link-building activity that helps improve brand awareness, organic visibility and commercial performance.
The successful candidate will also help maintain an always-on press office function, working closely with the Content and Marketing teams, as well as other internal stakeholders where needed, to source quotes, product information, commentary and imagery for media opportunities.
This role would also suit someone who is ready to take ownership of day-to-day Digital PR delivery and is keen to grow into a more strategic role over time as the function develops.
The Role

*Ongoing outreach using an established back of tactics to secure coverage and links
*Building of media lists of targeted, relevant titles, identifying the right journalists to pitch to
*Creation of briefs to internal content team, or external freelancers, to develop any supporting assets required for outreach
*Outreaching to journalists
Essential skills & Attributes
*At least 2 years in-house or agency-side working in traditional or Digital PR
*A creative mind to generate, build and execute interesting creative PR ideas
*Strong relationship management to build and manage relationships with journalists and publications, as well as other stakeholders internally and externally
*The ability to research, curate, and build targeted and relevant media lists for each campaign idea, matching the right journalist to the story
*Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to pitch stories persuasively and highlight strong hooks and angles to secure coverage and links
*Excellent copywriting skills, with the ability to write clear, concise and engaging pitch emails, comments and press materials
*Assist in tracking coverage, reporting, links and general campaign performance to share with senior management
*A strong PR nous to identify stories, brief and feedback on press releases and onsite content requirements to the in-house content team
*Highly reactive and agile individual to be able to adapt to changing news agendas, respond to urgent media requests/demands
*Help to manage and keep up-to-date the PR calendar, and help to organise tasks and deadlines
*Knowledge of and aware of SEO and Digital Marketing and the principles of these and how Digital PR fits into these
*Able to use and knowledge of industry tools such as Ahrefs, MajesticSEO, Moz, HARO, ResponseSource, Roxhill & AnswerThePublic
*Knowledge of media databases, journalist roles and their beats in order to build accurate media outreach lists to get to the right people
*Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage your own workload effectively
*A strong awareness of trends, current affairs, popular culture and seasonal moments, with the ability to turn these into relevant PR opportunities
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint
