We are on the lookout for a Senior Engineer who will be instrumental in the technical and commercial delivery of drainage, Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SuDS), and civil infrastructure design projects. This role caters to both external public/private clients and Skanska’s internal delivery teams, developing robust, buildable, and sustainable design solutions while providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
*Design and Management: Develop and manage detailed designs for drainage, SuDS, and below-ground infrastructure for buildings, highways, and public realms.
*Project Leadership: Lead work packages including programming, costing, proposals, and delivery, ensuring technical assurance of designs, drawings, and reports.
*Consultancy Services: Provide standalone consultancy services, collaborating with clients and stakeholders to meet technical, environmental, and planning goals.
*Safety and Sustainability: Embed Health & Safety, Environmental, and CDM Designer duties into projects, promoting safe and sustainable design practices.
*Mentorship: Mentor and support junior staff, advancing digital engineering workflows using tools like Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, InfoWorks, and BIM.
We are looking for:
*Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and Chartered (ICE) or actively working towards chartership.
*Experience: Proven drainage design experience including SuDS, attenuation, flow control, modelling, hydraulics, and guidance compliance. Infrastructure design experience covering site-wide drainage, earthworks interfaces, public realm, and related civil works.
*Skills: Proficiency in MicroDrainage, InfoWorks, Civil 3D, and BIM workflows. Strong communication skills are essential.
