Accounts Assistant (AAT Qualified)
Location: Tiverton
Type: Permanent | Full-time
We’re delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and expanding accountancy practice in Tiverton that is looking to add an AAT-qualified Accounts Assistant to its friendly, close-knit team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous practice experience who is keen to build on their existing knowledge within a supportive environment that genuinely values progression and long-term career development.
The Role
You’ll enjoy a varied and hands-on position, including:
*Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
*Bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
*Preparing and submitting VAT returns
*Supporting clients with day-to-day queries and building strong relationships
*Assisting senior team members and managers across the wider accounts function
This role offers real exposure across a broad client base, allowing you to strengthen both your technical skills and client-facing confidence.
About You
*AAT qualified (or finalist with strong relevant experience)
*Previous experience within an accountancy practice
*Confident using Xero, Sage or similar cloud-based software
*Strong attention to detail with good organisational skills
*A proactive, team-focused attitude and genuine desire to continue learning
