This is a standout opportunity for an experienced Employment Partner / Senior Employment Solicitor to step into a strategic leadership role with real influence over the direction and success of the department.
The Opportunity
As Head of Department, you will play a pivotal role in driving the continued growth and success of the Employment offering. You’ll lead from the front—combining technical excellence with commercial acumen—while mentoring a talented team and strengthening an already impressive client base.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead and develop a successful Employment Law team
*Drive business development strategy and identify new revenue streams
*Maintain and grow strong client relationships across a varied client base
*Provide expert advice on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
*Shape the strategic direction of the department in line with firm-wide objectives
*Supervise, mentor, and inspire junior and senior lawyers
About You
*Senior Employment Solicitor with extensive experience (Partner / Legal Director level)
*Proven track record in team leadership and departmental growth
*Strong commercial awareness and business development capability
*Expertise across complex employment law matters
*Excellent communication and client management skills
*Based in Manchester or open to relocation
