Job Description:
Your Company:
NET Recruit is proud to be partnering with a well-established and fast-growing provider of communication and security technology solutions. Delivering both off-the-shelf and bespoke systems, the business supports a diverse client base ranging from SMEs to global organisations, as well as major events, festivals, and venues.
Due to ongoing expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Service Engineer to join the team, supporting clients across the Southern region, based out of Eastleigh. This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their career - including recent college or university graduates - who is eager to learn and develop within a hands-on technical environment.
Your Roles and Responsibilities
While in this role your duties may include but are not limited to:
*Assisting with the delivery, installation, and maintenance of radio communication systems, body worn cameras, and security technologies
*Supporting the sales team with basic technical input, product demonstrations, and customer enquiries
*Helping carry out site surveys and preventative maintenance inspections (PMI), producing reports and documentation
*Learning to support system design, build, testing, installation, and commissioning
*Providing first-line technical support to customers via phone and remote systems
*Assisting with servicing, maintenance, and basic repairs on equipment
*Supporting equipment configuration across communication and security systems
*Providing on-site support at events such as festivals, sporting events, and entertainment venues
*Working alongside experienced engineers to deliver projects and maintain high customer satisfaction
What You Will Need To Apply:
*A background or qualification in telecommunications, electronics, IT, or a related field (college leavers and graduates encouraged to apply)
*A genuine interest in engineering, technology, or communications systems
*Basic understanding of IT or networking (advantageous but not essential)
*Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
*A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
*Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail
*Flexibility to work varied hours, including travel when required
*A valid UK driving licence (or working towards obtaining one)
Full training will be provided, so prior hands-on experience is not essential.
What You Will Get In Return:
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or build a career in engineering within a supportive and forward-thinking business. You will gain exposure to a wide variety of technologies, projects, and high-profile events while working alongside experienced professionals.
The business offers a competitive starting salary of up to £35,000 (dependent on experience), along with a comprehensive benefits package including a company van and fuel card (post-probation), paid overtime, overnight allowances, company pension, death in service benefit, and generous holiday entitlement.
With ongoing training and clear progression pathways, this role provides strong long-term career development opportunities within a growing organisation.
