Job Description:
Domiciliary Carer (Home Care Worker)

Community-based (service users’ homes)

To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing while ensuring all care is delivered in line with agreed care plans and regulatory standards.
*Deliver personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
*Support with medication administration (where trained)
*Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration
*Provide companionship and emotional support
*Support with mobility, including use of hoists and equipment (where trained)
*Carry out light household duties (cleaning, laundry, shopping)
*Maintain accurate care records and report any changes in service users’ conditions
*Follow care plans and risk assessments at all times
*Promote independence and encourage service users to make their own choices
*Safeguard service users and report any concerns in line with policies
*Previous experience in care is essential
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Good organisational and time management skills
*Understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care

*NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
*Willingness to complete training and ongoing professional development

*Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (often essential)
*Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
*Enhanced DBS check required
