We are seeking an Assistant Underwriter to join one of the world’s leading insurance brokers and risk management firms, who have a long-standing reputation for excellence. The team will consider anyone with 0–2 years’ experience in broking or underwriting.
You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment focused primarily on small to mid-market property owners’ risks, with the opportunity to support on larger, more complex cases, including multi-million-pound developments.
Key Responsibilities
*Rating & underwriting renewals, new business, and mid-term adjustments
*Working closely with brokers internally and externally to assess and underwrite risk
*Conducting detailed risk research and analysis
*Working with premiums ranging from £500 to £10,000, with exposure to significantly larger risks
*Using a personal delegated authority to price risks
*Building and developing broker relationships through regular phone interaction
*Opportunity to work towards your underwriting licence within the first 6 months
Requirements:
*12 months+ experience in underwriting or broking (graduates with relevant exposure considered)
*Product knowledge – Household, Property Owners/Landlord, Property
