Job Description:
Interim Head of HR
*Location: Headington, Oxford - on-site working 4 days per week
*Job Type: Full-time, 10-month Fixed Term Contract
*Salary: £56-65,000 per annum
We are partnering with a client who seek a strategic HR leader to guide senior managers and HR staff across the employee lifecycle and lead change management initiatives. Supporting during a period of family leave will involve leading a senior team of 6, and a wider HR function of 22 staff.
This role involves shaping and driving the HR vision and strategy for the organisation over the coming year, and the successful candidate will provide critical assessment and advice on HR policies and functions, both within the UK and for subsidiary units overseas.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
*Lead strategic HR initiatives and change management projects
*Provide expert advice on HR policy application and operation, particularly for units outside the UK.
*Engage with Assurance and Compliance functions to drive HR aspects of assurance reviews, ensuring compliance with legislation and University policies.
*Support complex employee relations matters, providing expert advice and mediation to prevent escalation.
*Develop and maintain effective relationships with external organisations for staff secondments and joint funding arrangements.
*Oversee the development and reporting of HR key performance indicators.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Level 7 CIPD qualification.
*Proven track record as a senior HR leader within a complex organisation.
*Strong experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating HR strategies and initiatives.
*Extensive knowledge of UK employment law and UK Border Agency regulations.
*Ability to manage complex employee relations cases with pragmatic solutions.
*Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
