MRK Talent Solutions are proud to be partnering with our long-term client, a well-recognised brand name, in the search for a Banking and Treasury Supervisor to join them on a permanent basis. This hybrid role is based in Letchworth, with three days per week onsite following a successful training and induction period.
This job would suit an experienced banking, treasury or accounts receivable professional with previous people leadership experience to be responsible for a team of 8 maintaining the financial viability of the business by ensuring that all required banking and sales ledger activities are being performed effectively by the team, and that correct procedures are being followed across the Group. The role will also play a key part in maintaining financial discipline, supporting process improvement, and creating a high-performing culture focused on ownership, accountability and continuous professional development.

The successful individual will have previous leadership or supervisory experience, within a treasury, banking, sales ledger or reconciliations type environment. They will be a confident communicator with good Excel skills, strong numeracy and the ability to manage large volumes of data while meeting tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling complex business and personnel situations, building positive relationships across the organisation, and driving high standards within a team environment.
Responsibilities include:
*Managing the organisation and coaching of the Team including 1:1’s performance reviews and Personal Development plans.
*Data entry of financial transactions.
*Ensure bank reconciliations are completed for the group, management of cash flow and payments.
*Obtain and reconcile transactions from bank accounts daily, including posting accounting transactions and reconciling group bank accounts.
*Report on bank accounts, foreign currency, cash in transit and payments for month end reporting.
*Supporting foreign currency – ordering, approval requests and managing foreign cash flow with purchasing and accounts payable.
*Daily and weekly cash flow forecasting.
*Raising journals on any banking differences on a monthly basis.
*Monitoring payments out of bank and highlighting any unrecognised items for fraud.
*Assist Treasury Manager with external audit queries related to banking.
