Job Description:
Digital Learning Developer
Location: Edinburgh (3 days onsite)
Duration: 12 months
Day rate: up to £250 p/d (inside ir35)
Join a forward-thinking Operational Learning team on a mission to transform how learning is designed and delivered across a global organisation. With a strong focus on skills-based development, this role plays a key part in advancing modern learning strategies, particularly through the expansion of engaging and scalable microlearning solutions.
As a Digital Learning Developer, you will design and deliver innovative, high-impact digital learning experiences that drive engagement, improve knowledge retention, and enhance on-the-job performance. Working with agile tools and methodologies, you will create a wide range of interactive content including e-learning modules, animations, simulations, infographics, assessments, and learning games. You will ensure all outputs meet brand standards, accessibility requirements (WCAG 2.1 A-AA), and technical specifications, while collaborating with global stakeholders across multiple large-scale projects.
Required Skills & Experience:
*Proven experience developing engaging digital learning solutions
* Experience story boarding and video creating
*Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments balancing agility and structure
*Up-to-date knowledge of e-learning trends, including AI-driven learning technologies
*Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 (A-AA) accessibility standards
*Experience creating interactive, non-traditional learning interventions
*Solid grounding in adult learning principles and instructional design best practices
*Commitment to continuous professional development in learning and technology
*Financial services experience is preferred
Experience with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate Storyline, LMS platforms, SCORM, Figma, Vyond, and Microsoft Office is expected, alongside familiarity with emerging tools such as LLMs and Synthesia.
