MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT – LOGISTICS
SLOUGH – 3 DAYS IN OFFICE – PERMANENT – ESTABLISHED, GROWING BUSINESS WITH STRONG HERITAGE
£30,000 – £35,000 + benefits
Are you looking for a varied management accounting role where you can take ownership and continue to develop your career? Do you enjoy working in a hands-on environment where you can make a real impact?
We’re supporting a well-established business in the logistics space as they look to strengthen their finance team with the addition of a Management Accountant.
This is a great opportunity for someone with existing finance experience who is actively studying (AAT, ACCA or CIMA) and looking to step into a broader role with more responsibility.
You’ll be joining a close-knit team with plans to build a high-quality finance function. The role offers real variety, exposure to the wider business, and the chance to develop both technically and commercially.
WISH LIST
*Experience working within a finance team, ideally in an SME environment
*Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
*Ambitious mindset with a genuine desire to learn, progress, and take on responsibility
THE ROLE
*Support the preparation of monthly management accounts
*Collate and account for third-party costs across projects
*Manage storage billing processes
*Perform bank reconciliations
*Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns
*Provide support across AP and AR when required
*Assist in improving processes and controls within finance
*Work closely with operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
*Build an understanding of how the business generates revenue
*Contribute to the development of a high-performing finance function
*Take ownership of tasks and deliver to a high standard
YOUR PROFILE
*Active studier (AAT, ACCA, or CIMA)
*Effective communicator – written & verbal
*Good working knowledge of MS Excel
*Strong commercial awareness and interest in how a business operates
*Comfortable taking ownership and keen to develop professionally
