Secondary School Cover Supervisor

*Salary: £100 - £120 per day
We are seeking a Secondary School Cover Supervisor to join our team on a temporary basis. This role involves covering day-to-day sickness and long-term supply needs across secondary schools in Surrey and West Sussex. This position is ideal for individuals with experience working with secondary age pupils or those who have a desire to enter the teaching profession.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Cover lessons in the absence of the regular teacher across various secondary schools.
*Ensure that pre-set work is delivered to students while maintaining classroom order and discipline.
*Assist in preparing teaching materials and setting up equipment needed for lessons.
*Monitor and support the students’ progress and provide feedback as necessary.
*Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a constructive environment.
*Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of different classes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience working with secondary age pupils is highly advantageous.
*Strong desire to enter the teaching profession or to gain further experience in education.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to manage classrooms and ensure a productive learning environment.
*Flexibility to travel to different schools within Surrey and West Sussex.
