Job Description:
We are recruiting on behalf of a housing provider for a temporary Scheme Manager to support sheltered housing services on a short-term basis. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining high standards of service delivery, resident wellbeing, and scheme compliance.
The role will suit someone with previous experience in housing, support, or scheme-based environments who is confident working independently and engaging with residents.
Key responsibilities include:
*Acting as the first point of contact for residents and responding to day-to-day enquiries
*Carrying out welfare checks and monitoring resident wellbeing
*Coordinating repairs and liaising with contractors and internal teams
*Completing health and safety checks including fire alarms, legionella testing, and pull cord systems
*Supporting tenancy management, lettings, and income-related processes where required
*Recording and escalating any safeguarding or wellbeing concerns in line with procedures
*Working with partner agencies and support services to ensure residents can live as independently as possible
The successful candidate will have:
*Previous experience in housing, supported housing, or a similar resident-facing role
*A good understanding of safeguarding, tenant support, and health and safety requirements
*Strong communication and organisational skills
*Confidence managing day-to-day issues calmly and professionally
*The ability to work flexibly and hit the ground running
A housing qualification or experience of working within sheltered or supported housing would be advantageous.
This is a temporary assignment for approximately 4 to 6 weeks with an immediate start required.
