We are recruiting on behalf of a respected and fast-growing tool and plant hire business in Buckingham, providing high-quality equipment and excellent customer service across Buckinghamshire and the surrounding areas.
They are seeking a motivated Small Tool Fitter to join the team, helping to maintain, repair, and prepare tools for hire while ensuring smooth daily operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone practical, mechanically minded, and customer-focused to work in a supportive team environment.
Role Overview
*Inspect, maintain, and repair small tools and equipment
* Ensure all tools are safe, clean, and ready for hire
* Support equipment preparation and organisation in the workshop
* Assist with stock checks and equipment returns
* Provide excellent customer service and technical advice where needed
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain smooth workshop operations
Requirements
*Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools and small equipment
* Reliable, motivated, and able to work efficiently under pressure
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Willingness to learn and follow health & safety procedures
* Comfortable working as part of a small, supportive team
Salary & Benefits
*£32,000-£35,000 per year, depending on experience
* Monday-Friday: 07:00-17:00
* Alternate Saturdays: 08:30-12:00 (open to discussion)
* 28 days holiday including bank holidays
* Pension scheme included
