Associate / Senior Associate - Planning & HighwaysLocation: Birmingham | Hybrid Working | Permanent | Salary: DOE

About the RoleAs an Associate or Senior Associate, you will be a key member of a dynamic, collaborative team. You’ll be involved in a diverse range of projects, offering strategic and practical advice to clients, and helping to deliver complex planning solutions that drive real change.
Key Responsibilities*Advise on and negotiate Section 106 agreements and other planning obligations.
*Provide guidance to committees, local authorities, and private sector clients on planning matters.
*Support CPOs, regeneration, and infrastructure projects from inception to delivery.
*Work alongside cross-functional teams on major developments and complex planning schemes.
*Assist with business development and client engagement activities.
Skills and Experience*3+ years PQE in planning law, with strong experience in Section 106 agreements and CPOs.
*Proven ability to provide advice on committee reports, appeals, and other planning processes.
*Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring junior lawyers and supporting team growth.
*Exceptional communication and client relationship skills.
*Commercially minded and able to provide clear, practical advice under pressure.
