Import Coordinator – Road Freight
Permanent | Salary up to £35,000 (DOE)
We are working with a well-established freight forwarding business that is looking to appoint an experienced Import Coordinator to join their growing road freight team. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for someone with a strong background in road freight imports who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
The Role
As an Import Coordinator, you will take full ownership of road freight import shipments from start to finish, ensuring all movements are handled efficiently, compliantly, and to a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage end-to-end road freight import consignments
*Liaise with European hauliers, overseas agents, and customers
*Prepare and process import documentation, including CMRs and customs paperwork
*Track and monitor shipments, proactively resolving delays or issues
*Ensure compliance with customs regulations and internal procedures
*Provide clear, timely communication and updates to customers
*Maintain accurate records using freight management systems
About You
*Proven experience coordinating road freight imports (essential)
*Solid understanding of import documentation
*Strong communication and organisational skills
*Ability to manage multiple shipments in a time-sensitive environment
*Customer-focused with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
*Experience using freight or logistics systems is advantageous
