Equipment Cleaner & Quality Checker
Location: Colchester
Job Type: Full-time
Monday to Friday 9am till 5:30pm - fully on site
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Adecco is recruiting on behalf of a growing company based in Colchester seeking a practical and detail-focused individual to join their refurbishment and preparation team. This hands-on role is key to ensuring their products are safe, presentable, and ready for resale.
Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic, good attention to detail, and an interest in working with equipment and quality checks.
Key Responsibilities:
*Carry out detailed cleaning and preparation of products to a high standard
*Inspect equipment using a structured checklist to ensure items are safe, functional, and fit for resale
*Test key components such as batteries, controls, brakes, lights, and general operation
*Identify faults or damage and carry out minor repairs or adjustments where appropriate
*Accurately record inspection findings and refurbishment work completed
*Prepare equipment for photography, ensuring items are clean, presentable, and correctly set up
*Assist with photographing products for online listings when required
*Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
*Support stock control, movement of equipment, and general warehouse or workshop duties
*Follow health and safety procedures at all times
Skills & Experience:
*Strong attention to detail and ability to follow checklists and processes accurately
*Practical, hands-on approach with confidence using basic tools
*Good organisational skills and pride in producing high-quality work
*Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
*Basic mechanical, maintenance, or refurbishment experience is desirable but not essential
*Willingness to learn - full training provided
