Are you an organised, creative communicator who enjoys helping customers stay informed? United Utilities is looking for a Customer Communications Coordinator to support major improvement works across the North West.
In this role, you’ll create clear, friendly and engaging communications that help customers understand what’s happening in their area and why the work matters.
About The Role
As a Customer Communications Coordinator, you’ll work with project teams, delivery partners and colleagues across the business to make sure customers receive accurate, timely and helpful updates. You’ll plan and produce multi-channel communications that reflect United Utilities’ tone of voice and brand.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Produce clear written communications about water mains renewal work.
*Act as a brand guardian across all customer-facing materials.
*Create and manage communication plans throughout the programme.
*Develop letters, leaflets, email updates, signage, maps and website content.
*Support community drop-in events and local engagement activities.
*Coordinate postal mailings, emails and SMS updates.
*Work with internal teams to maintain consistent messaging.
*Share updates with social media, contact centre and regional teams.
*Order and manage on-site information boards and signage.
What We’re Looking For
*Strong written communication skills and a warm, customer-focused tone.
*Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
*Confident collaborating with internal and external partners.
*Experience delivering multi-channel communications to deadlines.
*Comfortable using MS Office; able to learn new systems quickly.
*Excellent attention to detail and proof-reading skills.
*CMS and design/print supplier experience is a bonus.
Key Details:
*Rate: £24.93 PAYE / £30.71 Umbrella
*Contract: 12-month temporary role via Reed Talent Solutions
*Location: Lingley Mere, Warrington (WA5 3LP)
*Hybrid: Minimum 3 days per week in the office
*Start Date: 27 April
*Hours: Monday–Friday, 37 hours per week
