£13.85 per hour (PAYE)

8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Monday–Saturday (with a weekday off!)

We’re on the lookout for proactive, hands-on Library Operatives to support essential manual tasks in a busy library environment within our national library based in Euston. Perfect for those who are physically fit, enjoy staying active, and don’t mind a bit of lifting, walking, and occasional climbing!
What You’ll Be Doing
* Shelving books and keeping everything neat and organised
* Retrieving books from different sections (may involve ladders/kick stools)
* Pushing trolleys loaded with books around the library
* Helping set up displays and rearrange library furniture
* Maintaining a clean, tidy environment
* Handling any additional tasks assigned by library management
What We’re Looking For
* Physically fit – lifting, bending, and lots of walking
* Ability to follow instructions and work solo or as part of a team
* Strong organisation skills and great attention to detail
* Previous experience is a bonus but not essential
