Job Description:
Criminal Defence Law firm based in Berkshire seek a Paralegal to work underneath their leading Criminal defence Solicitor on a mixed caseload of white collar fraud and other violent criminal cases.
Core duties will include the following:
·Managed a caseload covering violent offences, rape, drug offences, murder, and white-collar fraud.
· Handling multiple caseloads.
·Reviewing large case files (often thousands of pages) and extracting key facts and evidence.
·Liaising professionally with clients, strengthening communication and relationship-building skills.
·Taking detailed instructions on complex, high-profile cases and ensuring accurate follow-through.
·Conducting legal research on new legislation relevant to client matters.
·Drafting high-quality legal documents, developing strong persuasive writing and editing skills.
·Organising meetings, deadlines, and case materials to support team efficiency and service delivery.
·Resolving client issues with initiative, discretion, and empathy.
·Communicating clearly and effectively under pressure in fast-paced legal environments.
Ideal candidates must have the following:
A keen interest in Criminal Litigation
1-2 years experience as a legal assistant/Paralegal.
