Job Description:
A growing and supportive legal firm based close to Burgess Hill is seeking a Legal Cashier/Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and collaborative team on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Legal Cashier looking for a flexible role within a well-established firm that values its people.
The Role:
As a Legal Cashier, you will play a key role in supporting the firm’s finance function, ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and maintaining accurate financial records. This Legal Cashier position offers a varied workload and the opportunity to work closely with fee earners and senior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
*Processing client and office account transactions
*Handling bank reconciliations and daily postings
*Managing invoices, payments, and receipts
*Assisting with billing and credit control
*Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules
*Supporting the wider team with ad hoc accounts duties
Requirements:
*Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier or within legal accounts
*Strong understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*Confident using legal accounting software and Microsoft Office
*A proactive and team-oriented approach

Hours & Salary:
*Part-time hours (flexible – to be discussed)
*Salary dependent on experience- £27,000- £30,000 (FTE)
