My client, a healthcare provider, are looking for a Lead Test Engineer to take ownership of their automation capability and drive the next phase of their quality journey. You’ll lead and evolve their Playwright-based automation framework, improving coverage, reliability, and integration into the CI/CD pipelines. Working closely with engineers and QA, you’ll shape testing strategy across UI, APIs, and services—while mentoring others to grow their automation skills.



You will be expected to

*Own and expand the automated testing suite (Playwright).
*Improve test stability, speed, and reporting.
*Define testing approaches for new features and systems.
*Integrate automation into CI/CD (Azure DevOps).
*Support defect triage and root cause analysis.
*Coach QA team members in automation best practices.


You will have

*Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and UI automation.
*Solid understanding of modern test strategy (UI, API, integration).
*Experience with CI/CD pipelines (ideally Azure DevOps).
*Comfortable working across .NET backends and modern frontends.
*A proactive, pragmatic, and self-driven approach.
*Experience mentoring or influencing QA practices.
*A knowledge and/or willingness to utilise AI within the role.
