Grounds Maintenance Operative

*Hourly Rate: £13.26
We are seeking Ground Maintenance Operatives to join our city-wide teams for the summer season. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and have a passion for gardening and horticulture. As this is a public-facing role, occasional interaction with the public is required.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Engage in various gardening and horticultural activities including the use of petrol and ride-on mowers, and trimmers.
*Maintain the city’s grounds to a high standard, ensuring all areas are tidy and aesthetically pleasing.
*Interact with the public in a friendly and professional manner when required.
*Work as part of a team to carry out general duties, adapting to seasonal working arrangements and responding to any emergency call-out situations.
*Operate in all weather conditions, ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Full UK Driving License is essential.
*Previous experience in grounds maintenance or gardening is highly desirable.
*Familiarity with using petrol/ride-on mowers and trimmers.
*Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
*Strong communication skills and comfort in interacting with the public.
