Job Description:

Are you interested in developing your technical skills in a globally active sustainability engineering consultancy?

This highly successful, fast-moving business is recognised for excellence in structural waterproofing and sustainable drainage, delivering practical, buildable solutions for complex schemes in the UK and overseas.

As a Graduate CAD technician, you will produce professional drawings, graphics, and digital content to accompany reports and contract documentation for a wide range of engineering scenarios. You will be producing detailed construction information for below ground structures, podium decks and drainage systems where accuracy and coordination are critical. You will work directly with senior engineers to translate marked-up PDFs, sketches, and design calculations into clear, buildable CAD packages. You will also help maintain and develop the technical detail library. Training will be provided in our specialist areas.

Key responsibilities:
You will be responsible for producing coordinated drawing packages to support:
*Design of below-ground waterproofing systems in line with relevant standards
*Above-structure decks and enclosed roof constructions
*Sustainable roof solutions incorporating surface water management features
*Managed-flow roof drainage and water storage solutions
*Producing coordinated GA drawings, sections and construction details
*Area zoning, surface water layouts and level schedules
*Drawing revisions through planning, tender and construction stages.

Requirements for the role:
*Minimum HNC/HND in relevant draughting and design.
*Experience as a CAD Technician within civil, structural, architectural, or roofing related construction.
*Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
*Experience producing detailed construction drawings rather than concept visuals.
*Experience working from architect and structural engineer drawings.
*Confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
*A valid UK driving licence.
*Good time management and the ability to manage several drawing packages at once.
An understanding drainage layouts and basic levels, along with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple drawing packages, is valued for this role. Experience with Revit or Civil 3D and knowledge of structural waterproofing, roofing or SuDS would be welcome but are not essential, with clear communication skills and a willingness to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team being equally important.

What can this role offer you?
*Exposure to a wide range of projects
*Structured training leading toward senior CAD Technician, CSSW structural waterproofing design qualifications and mentoring from industry recognised specialists who author UK guidance.
*Support for continued professional development, including external courses and professional membership fees where relevant.
*Collaborative working environment in the office, with flexibility by agreement once established in the role
