The Role
This hands-on, mid-level position will sit at the intersection of finance administration and operations management. Your role will be to ensure day-to-day financial activities run smoothly and project workflows are well-organised, enabling teams to work efficiently and deliver results. Working closely with colleagues across different functions, you’ll be key to maintaining operational clarity and supporting business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
*Processing supplier invoices and managing purchase ledgers accurately
*Supporting credit control by following up on outstanding debts
*Reconciling bank and credit card transactions to keep financial records precise
*Assisting with scheduling and resource allocation to optimise project delivery
*Tracking project budgets and identifying potential overruns early
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate possesses strong organisational skills and experiences in transactional finance. You should be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and communicating effectively across teams. Mandatory
*At least 3 years’ experience in transactional finance, including ledger management, bank reconciliations, and invoice processing
*Exceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detail
*Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
*Proficiency with financial systems and Microsoft Excel
*Effective communication skills across disciplines and stakeholders
Preferred
*Experience working within a sector that involves resource or ops management
*Knowledge of financial controls and processes relevant to a varied operational setting
*Relevant finance qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA) is advantageous
