Dear recipient,
I am reaching out about an exciting part-time Personal Advisor opportunity within the Future Directions Leaving Care Service in Barnsley.
We have two established teams of Personal Advisors, and this role will sit within one of these supportive, passionate teams.
You’ll be working with care leavers aged 16–25, supporting them through key life transitions and helping them build the skills and confidence to live independently. We’re looking for someone kind, caring, passionate, and committed to making a difference.
What you’ll be doing*Providing support, advice and advocacy to care leavers
*Working closely with social workers and multi-agency professionals
*Helping young people develop life skills, access education, employment and training
*Supporting emotional, physical and social wellbeing
*Managing pathway plans, assessments and regular case recording
*Contributing to a positive, child-centred service
